Which Browser Do You Use?

I've been enjoying the power of Firefox for a few months now and when I heard about the new 'proper' version I couldn't wait to download it. The site was a bugger to get onto on launch day with everyone and his Auntie trying to download it but it seems to be readily accessible now. I managed to get my hands on it yesterday and found it a piece of cake to install. Today I've been looking at the alternative themes available and have opted for Noia 2.0 (eXtreme) and it looks dam sexy!

I've noticed that 57% of visitors are using Internet Explorer and 33% are using Firefox, so if you're still making do with IE, give Firefox a try and feel the power!

Get Firefox!

You're definitely not the only one who feels this way, my buddy Pete (www.petroleumjelliffe.com) wrote a similar post the other day.

Hi there - found you through Blog Explosion and I'm using I.E. - if you have a minute could you enlighten me, what's the difference? Really, I have no idea but only hear good things about Firefox.

The main advantages I've found Firefox has over IE are that you can open more than one web page in the same window (called tabs) which is great for opening links without closing the page you're on, it's a bit faster and you can download themes to change the look of the buttons etc. You don't need to remove IE to use Firefox so the best thing to do is give it a try and see for yourself :-)

I use Firefox at home on the PC, but prefere Safari on my work Mac. Both are pretty similar and seem to work better and faster than IE.

The only issue I have is the occasional web designer who doesn't bother testing their work outside of IE....

I've been using Avant Browser for a couple years -- I think it's based on MS IE, but it has many of the features of Firefox. I've tried FF a few times in the last several days, but haven't gotten comfortable with it yet.

Hi,

Just wandering around Blogworld.. :)

I also use Avant, and have done for a year or more. Anything designed for IE runs well on it, as it still uses the basic IE engine. The main difference is that it is secure. I've got Mozilla as a backup in case I ever need to use another browser, but to be honest it's too slow to load. And that's on a 750 conection; it's almost like dial up in comparison. I may have a look at Firefox later, for comparison, but if it's similar to Mozilla in speed etc. it'll sit on the backburner.. :)

BTW, blatant plug coming up.
